‘Don’t Squeeze Me’ is set at “Camp Sunny Seed”, a summer camp for teens on the edge of adulthood. The story follows Emma (16), a ruby red grapefruit. Over the summer, she forms a tight-knit friend group and grows especially close to Terri, a confident and kind White Oak acorn, who quickly becomes the center of Emma’s world. As camp days fill with new friendships, career dreams, and late-night talks, Emma begins to realize her feelings for Terri might be more than a friendship. Unsure if those feelings are mutual, Emma navigates the complicated space between self-discovery and self-protection.
